Founder & Chairman

AMBARISH SAHA

Ambarish Saha is a social entrepreneur and philanthropist, best known for founding Shoishob – A Foundation for Children. With a diverse educational background—studied in Kathmandu, pursued Hotel Management from IIHM Kolkata, and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh—he built a successful 25-year corporate career at Wipro and HCL in New Delhi and Gurgaon.

However, his experiences in Kolkata in 2017 witnessing severe poverty deeply moved him. This pivotal moment transformed his life, inspiring him to shift focus and directly address social challenges. Through Shoishob, Ambarish supports underprivileged children, women, and marginalized communities across West Bengal and Manipur. His foundation currently supports 400+ children, has created 70+ jobs (predominantly for women), and operates five units: four in West Bengal (Naktala, New Barrakpore, Paschim Medinipur, and Sundarban) and one in Churachandpur, Manipur. His vision: create long-term, positive change through education, job creation, and community empowerment.

Vice President

RAJ KUMAR DUTTA

Raj Kumar Dutta is an accomplished actor with nearly 18 years of experience in the Bengali film and television industry. He also worked in Mumbai’s real estate sector for about four years, gaining valuable corporate and managerial expertise. Alongside his successful professional journey, Raj Kumar has always harbored a deep passion for social service—supporting underprivileged children and caring for the elderly.

This compassion led him to join Shoishob – A Foundation for Children as Vice President. Balancing his artistic career with his dedication to social causes, Raj Kumar brings creativity, compassion, and commitment to Shoishob’s mission of education, livelihood creation, and women’s empowerment. Together with the team, he continues to inspire both on and off screen, proving that meaningful change happens when passion meets purpose.
